The 2016 Farm Show is upon us, and for many Pennsylvanians, it’s one of the most exciting weeks of the year. This year commemorates the 100th Pennsylvania Farm Show, and to celebrate this milestone, Governor Tom Wolf and Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding are asking you to share your #100PAFarmShow story!

From long-time family traditions to first-time experiences, we want to hear your impressions, reflections, and overall favorite moments from the Farm Show.

There are several ways we invite you to interact:

  • Post your pictures and comments to the Farm Show’s social media accounts
  • Use the hashtag #100PAFarmShow (and possibly have your story shared or retweeted!)
  • Record a voice memo using the StoryCorps smartphone app
  • Stop by the Erie Room (located above the small arena) during the dates and times below to contribute to the Department of Agriculture’s video and audio story archives. We’ll also post to StoryCorps using their app — stories uploaded to the platform during the first year of the program will be archived at the Library of Congress.
    • Tuesday, January 12 from 11 AM – 3 PM.
    • Wednesday, January 13 from 12 PM – 3 PM.

This year’s Farm Show theme is “Our Commonwealth’s Blue Ribbon Experience.” What does that mean to you? We welcome you to share your story as part of your visit to the 2016 Farm Show!
