Governor Wolf Nominates Barry Drew to Turnpike Commission

Harrisburg, PA – Governor Tom Wolf announced the nomination of Barry Drew to serve on the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.

“I know personally how dedicated and passionate Barry Drew is for public service,” Governor Wolf said. “Barry will be a tremendous asset to the Turnpike and the people of Pennsylvania will be well-served by his experience and knowledge. At Revenue, Barry facilitated the Department’s first strategic plan and was involved in all personnel matters for more than 2,125 full-time employees. His experience managing and transforming an important agency will be an asset to the Turnpike.”

Drew has a long history of bipartisan public service. He served as the Deputy Secretary of Administration in the Executive Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue from 1995 until 2011. Prior to that, he served as Solicitor for the City of Erie then Director of Administration for the County of Erie, Pennsylvania. Drew is a Vietnam War Veteran serving as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Gannon University and a Juris Doctor from the Western New England College School of Law.
