Governor Wolf Remembers Rep. McNeill as Lifelong Advocate for Workers, Middle Class
September 09, 2017
Harrisburg, PA – Governor Tom Wolf today remembered State Representative Daniel McNeill of Whitehall, Lehigh County, who passed away late yesterday, as a lifelong advocate for workers and middle class families and a public servant who always put the people of the Lehigh Valley first, including in his fight against the opioid crisis.
Governor Wolf’s full statement:
“Dan came to Harrisburg after already making a career in the trades and he continued his lifelong fight for the working women and men of the Lehigh Valley. He was a fearless partner in battling the opioid epidemic both in Harrisburg and in his district, where he worked to fight the stigma of addiction through many town hall meetings.
“Rep. McNeill brought a spirited presence in Harrisburg, where he worked hard to bring jobs and development to his district, and always did it with a smile. Frances and I extend our deepest condolences to Dan’s wife, Jeanne, his two daughters, and all his friends and colleagues in the House of Representatives. He will be missed.”
