April 07, 2016
Harrisburg, PA – Governor Tom Wolf today released the following statement following Aramark Corporation’s announcement that the company’s global headquarters will remain in Philadelphia:
“I am pleased that Aramark will continue to call Philadelphia home. Aramark is one of Pennsylvania’s largest employers, with more than 14,000 employees across the state. The decision to remain here is good news for our workforce and Pennsylvania’s overall economy. We look forward to continuing to work with Aramark through their site selection process.”
Aramark is the world’s largest U.S.-based provider of food and facilities services and uniforms, and has been based in Philadelphia since 1961. The company has been considering the location of its headquarters since last year in advance of its current lease expiring in 2018.
