Governor Wolf’s Week, January 15 – January 21, 2017

This week, Governor Wolf marked the two year anniversary of his own inauguration with a message to Pennsylvanian’s on progress that has been made since he took office and the importance of working together to move the Commonwealth forward.

Governor Wolf announced that Pennsylvania has been granted an extension by the Federal government to comply with REAL ID standards.

Governor Wolf also continued his tour of substance use disorder treatment Centers of Excellence and the discussion on how to best continue the fight against opioid abuse in Pennsylvania. On Friday, he toured Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC and their Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

On Tuesday, Governor Wolf reminded Pennsylvania consumers that Act 166 of 2016, which allows for greater customer convenience when purchasing beer from distributors, is now in effect.

The governor also attended the swearing-in ceremonies for Auditor General Eugene DePasquale, Attorney General Josh Shapiro, and Treasurer Joe Torsella.
