On Sunday, Governor Wolf visited Lycoming and Centre counties to tour flood damage caused by heavy rainfall last Thursday.

Governor Wolf also announced a revitalization project in Harrisburg named the “MulDer Square” project for the Allison Hill section of the city.

Fighting opioid and heroin abuse has been a top priority for the governor and on Thursday he applauded the legislature for passing a package of bills that will continue to strengthen efforts in combatting the current opioid abuse epidemic plaguing Pennsylvania.

As the legislative session came to an end, Governor Wolf commended the House and Senate for sending a number of bipartisan supported bills to his desk such as allowing Uber and Lyft to operate in Pennsylvania, unemployment compensation reform, and continued liquor reform by approving the sale of six-packs at beer distributors.
