Governor Wolf Invites Public to Capitol Christmas Tree Lighting

Main Rotunda, Main Capitol Building, Harrisburg, PA

Governor Tom Wolf is inviting the public to the state Capitol Rotunda to celebrate the holiday season with the lighting of the Capitol Christmas Tree on Friday.

The Governor and First Lady Frances Wolf will be joined by Rev. Carl Tancredi D.Min, Catholic Chaplain York College of Pennsylvania, Department of General Services Secretary Curt Topper, and the Susquenita Middle and High School Choirs, which will provide holiday music for the popular annual event.

The Capitol Christmas Tree is a 22-foot Douglas Fir from Crystal Spring Tree Farm in Lehighton, Carbon County and is decorated with more than 900 LED lights and more than 1,600 hand-made ornaments.
