Governor Wolf Outlines a New Way For PA, Highlights Pre-K Education Funding in 2017-2018 Budget Proposal

Governor Wolf will discuss pre-k education investments proposed in his 2017-2017 budget. The governor will be joined by Pre-K students, who will present valentines to Governor Wolf for his commitment to Pennsylvania schools and students.

Governor Wolf’s 2017-2018 budget proposal includes increased funding for Pennsylvania schools to deliver high-quality education to every student across the commonwealth, regardless of zip code. The budget provides an additional $75 million for early childhood education which will allow for more than 8,400 additional children to enroll in Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts and the Head Start Supplemental Assistance Program.
