Governor Wolf Signs HB 1238, Animal Protection and Abuse Overhaul

Governor Wolf will host a public bill signing for HB 1238, the animal protection and abuse overhaul that updates and clarifies animal abuse statutes and increases penalties for abusing animals. Governor Wolf will be joined by Rep. Todd Stephens, Sen. Richard Alloway, Rep. Ryan Bizzarro, Kristen Tullo, Pennsylvania State Director for the Humane Society of the United States, Janine Guido and Libre, Speranza Animal Rescue.

Members of the public are encouraged to attend this event. Prior to the bill signing, there will be a meet and greet with special canine advocates Libre, Aladdin, Cranberry, Summit, and Bulmers. All of the canine advocates represent the abuse and rescue components of HB 1238.
