Governor Wolf Signs HB 239, Creating Rare Disease Advisory Council

Governor Wolf will sign House Bill 239, which will establish the Rare Disease Advisory Council. The Rare Disease Advisory Council will serve as the advisors on rare diseases to the General Assembly, state agencies, and private organizations that provide services to individuals with rare diseases.

House Bill 239 was introduced by Representative Marcy Toepel and was inspired by Garrett Coyne, a young constituent in Representative Toepel’s district who has Batten disease.
