Governor Wolf to Sign Executive Order to Improve Job, Skills Training to Formally Launch PAsmart Initiative at HACC York Campus

Governor Wolf will join labor, business and tech sector leaders to formally launch PAsmart, a new $30 million program to improve STEM and computer science education and other jobs training opportunities. The governor will sign an executive order to cut red tape among workforce development programs across state government.

Governor Wolf will be joined by Rick Bloomingdale, President of the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO, and Gene Barr, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Pennsylvania Chamber, both of whom served on Governor Wolf’s Middle Class Task Force that focused heavily on the need to expand workforce development.
