With today symbolizing how far into the year women must work to earn the same as men earned in 2017, Governor Tom Wolf declared today to be Equal Pay Day in Pennsylvania.
Governor Wolf applauded the Pennsylvania Senate for unanimously moving a package of domestic violence bills, including those he endorsed in October, out of committee.
Governor Wolf vetoed Senate Bill 3, the anti-choice legislation that would severely limit women’s reproductive rights and health care options.
Governor Wolf commended Attorney General Josh Shapiro and his legal team, who worked with the governor’s administration, for their victory in federal court to get a nationwide temporary injunction against the Trump administration’s move to allow some employers to opt-out of covering contraception for their employees.
Governor Wolf released the following statement on the Pennsylvania House sending Senate Bill 3, a restrictive abortion bill with no exceptions for rape or incest, to his desk.
