Wolf Administration Hosts Cabinet in Your Community Event in Bloomsburg

Bloomsburg, PA – Today, Wolf Administration cabinet officials were joined by more than 100 attendees, including community members and college students for a Cabinet in Your Community event at Bloomsburg University. This series of events gives community members the opportunity to talk with cabinet secretaries and discuss issues important to the region.

“It is imperative to ensure that community members have access to their government officials,” said Governor Tom Wolf. “By continuing to host these events, my administration can better serve Pennsylvania’s residents by having valuable dialogue and giving community members an opportunity to feel connected to Harrisburg regardless of where they live.”

This event featured Department of Corrections Secretary John Wetzel, Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner Colonel Tyree Blocker, Department of Transportation Secretary Leslie Richards, Department of Education Secretary Pedro Rivera, and Department of Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding. The department heads provided insight on initiatives specific to the Bloomsburg region and responded to questions from the audience.

The next Cabinet in Your Community event is currently scheduled for this Thursday, March 15, in the Ebenshade wing of the Gibble Auditorium at Elizabethtown College. This event will be hosted by the cabinet secretaries of the departments of Military and Veterans’ Affairs, Agriculture, Education, Human Services, General Services, and the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency.
